A young boy’s magical quest

Billy Boyd narrates Misterstourworm and the Kelpie's Gift, the story of a young boy’s magical quest to defeat the terrible sea monster Misterstourworm. This adventure for children is set against a stunning classical music backdrop performed by the Orchestra of Scottish Opera. Fairytale characters, the faerie-queen and a kelpie help him prepare for his quest and coming battle.

The CD is packaged in a beautifully illustrated book and comprises both narrated version with orchestra and an orchestral suite without narrative with illustrations by Martin McKenna. In addition, there are three songs - The Finn Woman, Waiting for the Silver-Sailed Moon and Bullies.

Misterstourworm and the Kelpie's Gift, narrated by Billy Boyd, is a story by Stuart Paterson with music by Savourna Stevenson, performed by the Orchestra of Scottish Opera. The three songs feature music by Savourna Stevenson, lyrics by Les Barker, performed by Orchestra of Scottish Opera, Edinburgh NYCoS and the RSNO Junior Chorus.
